We had a wonderful holiday in Mexico, really it was fun to get away from the stress of this time of year. As we walked the streets of Mexico I was overcome with thankfulness for my many blessings. It was wonderful to sit on the beach and contemplate the birth of the Savior, and do some tanning. We stayed at a place that was very clean and had wonderful food and lots of it. I really did not miss the presents and the rush to get everything done on time. I would have to say it was one Christmas I will never forget.
Some things we did, visited the spot where "Predator" (1987) was filmed with Arnold Big and Stronger. Spent time snorkeling and watching the whales, did some boggy boarding and bungee jumping (only Nik and Daniel). Shopped the flee markets and played some tennis. Fun, "Fun and more Fun!!!!!

This week we received a wonderful blessing, the call from the Lord for Daniel to serve a mission. What a feeling of peace and joy this brings to us, although it is a sacrifice to send him away we know we will be extremely blessed. And so will the people that Daniel comes in contact with. I don't think any of the other boys have been as excited as Daniel is, at least they didn't say so. Every time I see him he tells me how excited he is to serve a mission, and I feel that excitement from him. We are grateful this season for the birth of the Son of God, and his gospel the plan of happiness, may God bless Daniel as he takes this plan to those waiting in Orlando Florida.

What more could a person ask for, I am beyound words when I think of our many blessings. And they just seem to increase every year. The blessing of family and all the temporal blessing we have has made us very humble. To each of our family members we say "Thankyou" for being the fine people you are and for setting such a great example for us. We love you and will always be grateful for you.

Halloween 2010

Along with Halloween comes the cold and rain, that is just how it is. We were busy all weekend going from the "trunk er treat" to the family parties. The grandkids filled their treat bags to the top and enjoyed the Halloween fun>
Mady and Tais were a dragon and duck, and Jarrett, Isabelle and MacGregor were Zorro, Witch and a Skeleton. And of course Grandpa had to have his hillbilly teeth in and makes some jokes. It was all good and fun and we loved the time we spend with the Grand kids.

Las Vegas

For the Fall Break we made our way to Las Vegas, that is a very long drive (my hat goes off to Nicki for driving that with the kids). We miss these cute grandchildren, they are so fun to be with. It was neat to watch Jarrett play flag football, although it was almost 100 degrees. We also went to see Isabelle's and Jarret's school. I really enjoyed going for a walk and having them tell me about their friends. And we cannot forget the "night club" where we all tell stories, and MacGregor goes on and on about who know what. Thanks so much for the fun and the time together, love you all.

Today Daniel received the Melchizedek Priesthood, it was a neat experience for us. Grandpa Brough and Nikalas were able to attend. Curtis gave Daniel a wonderful blessing, and some great promises if he lives worthy. We are so proud of Daniel, and now he can send in his papers and start getting ready for his mission. Can you believe it!!!!!

Daniel was four years old when I entered the family, he was a special little boy. I remember him following me around the house and wanting to help me with everything I was doing. Curtis and I feel so blessed, Daniel has been a joy to raise. Daniel is a wonderful young man, he cares about those around him and is mindful of doing what is right. We are excited for him to go to Snow in the fall and then venture out into the mission field. Gr adulation on a excellent school career and much luck for the future to come. We lov you!!!!!

Bring on the Mother's Day

What a fantastic Mothers Day, I feel so blessed to have such wonderful children. And to have been blessed to have the opportunity to be their mother. They have brought me joy that cannot be measured and I love them to death. This is a four generation picture, me and mom and Ann Marie and Maty. Thanks to everyone for the love, the flower from Daniel and the clean windows from Curtis. The footrub from Nik and the special FHE, also the footrub and lotion from Ann Marie and Rosilee. And Ben and Nicki thanks so much for the flower, it is beautiful. I love you all and hope someday I can be as cool as all of you.

We spent Spring Break with the STowell family in Erie PA. We loved being with the family again, the boys are so much fun and wow has Lincoln changed, he now talks and talks. Every day was an adventure, from the Zoo and "Papa Jo" and the family to the Amish and the horse drawn plows. We loved our time there, thanks to Jandi and Lee for your hospitality and letting us make fools of ourselves playing Guitar Hero and the Wee. Love you guys

We are so grateful to have the Nikalas home, it is always a relief on a Mothers heart to have them home safe. Nikalas has served a very honerable mission, he loved the people and loves the gospel. What a wonderful spirit he brought into our home, he is so full of the gospel and we love having that feeling in our home. He gave a very inspirational welcome home talk, I was so impressed with all he had learned.

We are so happy to have the new little spirit in our family, "Fletcher" what a doll. And from what mom reports he is a really good baby. And we also hear that the rest of the family just adores him. We feel very blessed to have our wonderful Grandchildren, each one is very special to us.

Daniel was elected to be the homecoming king, we did not know until he walked on the field that night. He is such a good boy and we are so proud of him.

We recently returned from Erie PA, where we had a fantastic time. The best part of the trip was getting to know the Grand kids again. We miss seeing them more often, and it is fun to get caught up. Another highlight of the trip was attending Mason's baptism, what a wonderful experience for us. Grandpa was able to give a baptism talk and lay his hands on Mason and give him the Holy Ghost. And Grandma was "tickled to death" to sing a duet with Mason at the baptism. There is know greater blessing than to participate with our Grandchildren in these sacred ordinances.
We enjoyed going to the Niagara Falls with the family, and riding on the Maid of the Mist into the falls. It was fun each day to be with the Stowell family, we appreciate their hospitality and most of all sharing the three little boys with us. We love you all very very much!!!!
